Alexandra Kordas’s works delves into the tension between dualities — life and death, salvation and damnation, ecstasy and anguish. Through a visual language that is both visceral and symbolic, her work confronts the viewer with the raw tensions that define the human condition.
At the core of Kordas’s artistic inquiry lies an enduring interest in existential polarity. Her compositions function as liminal spaces where spiritual, emotional, and psychological states collide. These are not didactic binaries but flowing, shifting fields of conflict and resolution — inviting the viewer to step into the space between.
Rather than offering answers, Kordas stages a confrontation: between self and other, belief and reality, inner experience and collective myth. In doing so, her work evokes an affective resonance, urging a deeper awareness of the fractures and harmonies that structure our personal and public lives. Kordas’s art becomes an ethical proposition: to see clearly, to feel fully, and perhaps, to awaken—if not to salvation, then to the fragile, essential act of seeing the world as it is.
